Ifremer ERDDAP server is a data discovery, subsetting and API server
Ifremer Thredds server is a data browser and API server
OpenDAP is a standard protocol for serving georeferenced data over the Internet.
The data are stored in NetCDF files, aggregated and distributed by a Thredds Data Server (TDS).
The TDS server is queried from web users and softwares (such as Matlab).
The TDS server returns the selected data through the following protocols
- OpenDAP protocol
- FTP file download
- WCS service : Web Coverage Service (an OGC protocol, Open Geospatial Consortium)
